On the 4th of July my Gran and PaPa celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary.
They loved each other so much!

The next morning my Gran suffered a seizure and was admitted to the hospital, I got the call at noon that she probably wouldnt make it, But Ive watched her survive so many things, Breast Cancer, bad falls and countless surgerys, that I secretly hoped she would make it though this time. It was just too much for her and she passed away at 8pm last night.
Im heart broken, along with all of my family and pretty much anyone who knew this fiesty, beautiful woman. I loved her SO much and I'm going to miss her more than anything! I am grateful that I got to see her one more time in March of this year. She got to meet my husband and my two sons for the first and I guess the last time.
Im so thankful that I have that.
I love you Gran!




We are packing now and leaving in the morning for Cedar City.

Finally back!

Well I know we havent been with you all on this blog for a while, so I am going to have to let everyone know what has been going on with us these last 4 months now.
On Feb. 25, 2009 (the day of Brodi's 5th birthday and our last post) my father Bruce Allen Marietti died of a heart attack. He was 53 years old. Nothing in my life has been harder for me to accept. He was an amazing Dad and Grandpa. Its so hard to believe that when ever I have a question he will never be there to answer it anymore. We love and miss him so much everyday.




In April Our oldest, Carter, turned the big 8 and was baptized. He is getting so big! its weird to think that he is already 8. He is so smart and funny and we are so proud of him! We miss him alot and love him even more.




I also started Airman Leadership School, or ALS in April. I needed to attend to be able to sew on my Staff Sargent stripe. It was 6 weeks long and very exhausting, mentally and physically. Every day I had to read lots and take tests and give speeches. We also did LOTS of running, just to graduate we had to do a 10 mile run, its the most I have ever run at once. I know Tausha was happy for me to be done.





On the 8th of June our littlest boy Trevan turned 3! He is getting so big too fast.
He is our last baby and that only seems to make it worse. He loves Diego and playing with his sister Brodi, even though they fight, alot! He's still a great cuddler and likes to make people laugh at all the silly stuff he does. We love him sooo much!!




On June 13th Brodi had her first dance recital, we enrolled her in Febuary for ballet and jazz/tap dancing and she really loved doing it!
She did REALLY well at her very first recital and we are so proud of her and look forward to continuing her lessons in the fall.



A huge change for our family is happening right now, just last week we found out that I have orders to Osan, Korea, along with 3 of my friends. Its kind of crummy because I have to go alone for a year without Tausha or the kids, but it is allowing us to go where ever in the world we want to after the year apart. Right now we put in to go (in order): Spangdahlem Germany, Ramstien Germany, Mildenhall England, Lakenheath England, Hickam Hawaii, Aviano Italy. for state side I have: Mt Home Idaho, and Hill Utah. We will let you know what we get when I get my follow-on though.



We've spent 4 great years in Little Rock AR and although it was hard to get used to at first, (can you say HUMIDITY?!) its really grown on us and we are going to miss the people and experiences we've had here.



Ok so that SHOULD get us caught up on most of the big things that we havent been posting for a while, I promise to keep up now so that we dont get that far behind again! Thanks for reading! Love you all!!

My tiny little muffin girl is 5 today!

Brodi McKael is such a sweet loving and beautiful little girl,
Her favorite color is blue and she loves playing with her brother and kittens, Max and Ruby.
(although she says she loves Ruby more cause shes not as heavy as Max)
She loves pizza and spaghetti and loves to be in the kitchen when I'm cooking.

She likes being outside and riding her bike and drawing with chalk.

She loves singing songs and telling stories that she makes up.

her favorite song is "so what" by pink.
and her favorite verse is "so what, im still a rockstar!" and she sings that part loud :o)
and that says alot about her spunky personality.


she was the first girl in her class to spell her name and learn her 5 senses.

She also likes to look at words everywhere and spell all the letters.

and she loves barrak obama.

she'll change the channel from cartoons to CNN if hes on TV.

She has countless "boyfriends" at school (but she promises me she doesnt kiss any of them)
She was the "Character kid" for fairness this month.

And shes definetly earned it with her kind and loving heart.

We love this baby (whos not so much a baby anymore) SO MUCH.

and although I could sing her praises forever I'll keep it short and just say,

I was trying to wait until we could get some pictures uploaded to post a blog, but since we're still getting the hang of our new computer and haven't figured out how to load them...i guess I'll have to settle for this :o)

HE'S HOME!!

And its SOOOO good to have him back.
He came in on the 19th, I got a couple calls from his shop chief updating me on when he should be home. It went from 230 am to 2am and up to 1215am. since it was going to be late I got a friend to come sit with the kids at home while they were sleeping so I wouldn't have to drag them out all sleepy and cold.
So my friend Jennie came over and sat with me at about 1045, And let me tell you i was a nervous wreck!!
I finally had to turn the clocks around because i kept checking them so often that the time was CRRRAAAWWLING. So Jennie and I were chatting and I told her "I'm not going to look at the clock anymore or I'm gonna puke. But i am gonna go grab my phone out of the bedroom in case he calls..." (this is at 11pm)
So I go running back there, grab the phone and I have 4 missed calls and a voicemail from him. So of course i freak out and call him back and he says "Where were you?" "I'm home, where are you?" "I'm here, we just landed, come and get me."
MUSIC TO MY EARS!!
So I hug Jennie, rush out of the house so fast I forget to put a coat on and drive like a madwoman to the mobility building to pick him up.
apparently alot of wives got the first calls from their Hubbies cause it was packed full of people. they had a roped off area that we had to stand behind and the boys came in from a door on the other side of the rope.
There was a woman in uniform who would come through the door and yell "first bus just pulled up!" and the boys came in single-file. No Ian. I was holding my breath at this point and hoping he was coming soon so i didn't turn blue:o)
so the boys stop coming through the door, and a few minutes later in comes the info-lady.."Second bus is here!" I swear to you Ian must have sat at the very end of that bus just to torture me, he was near the last of everyone to come through.
But the moment I seen him I smiled like a goof and wouldnt let go of him.
We didnt get home till 1am because we had to wait on his luggage and that took forever...but getting him home felt great.
The kids and I had made welcome home signs and tied balloons to them in the front yard. I got pictures so I'll post them soon.
So anyway, Its just really great to have him home!
I get the question about the honeymoon being over for us yet..and I honestly have to say we're still on cloud nine and enjoying being together again SO MUCH!

This week is our only real down time though, I start back to school next Tuesday, full-time. and he'll get an extra week after then off, then hes back to work.
But for right now...everything is perfect so we're going to soak it up and enjoy it:o)

Hello Fellow Bloggers!
Yes, I'm still alive...in a manner of speaking, I have a cold. A really miserable one.
But I'm spreading germs and using a friends computer to check in on everyone and say hello.(not really though,i promise i brought hand sanitizer and apply it regularly) My computer still isn't working, but Ian and I have decided that with our tax refund we are going to rebuild the computer and make it work again.
Speaking of Ian...Hes almost home!
we have about 2-3 weeks left, and I cant even begin to tell you how good it is to say that =)
We're planning on spending some time together for a couple weeks before I start back at school and he goes into ALS. Its R&R thats seriously needed
As for whats been going on lately here...not alot really.
The kids took turns being sick for the last two weeks, one with an ear infection and one with just a really high fever and tummy aches.
I took an OPI nail class on the 26th that was really exciting. i got a really great kit and got to spend a few hours being childless and back at school.
I found out that I really enjoy doing acrylics and Ive been practicing sculpture nails for the last few days on my down time. Luckily the stuffy nose keeps the smell from bothering me =)
In March the school is offering a trip to St.Louis to go to a hair show for 2 days.
We'll get to do some observing and hands-on so I'm pretty excited about that.

Anyway, I will try to keep up as often as possible and as soon as Ian gets home and revives our computer, I can get back to posting regularly.

Hi Friends,
I thought I would just write a quick post.
I haven't been keeping up so well. My computer continues to be useless. which stinks.
But hopefully it wont be for long. my uncle is sending me a magical disk that will fix all my problems (I wish). Just all my computer problems.
We haven't been up to much over here in AR. My Mom and little brother got to visit for Christmas for 10 days. we spent a few days taking turns being sick, but all in all it was great to have the company.
New Years was uneventful, we decided to ignore it and just go to bed :o)
Ian and I are starting to count down the days. There are about 45ish days to go.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel!!

Anyway, I hope you all had a great Christmas and a great New Year. I'll write again soon, on a fixed computer i hope!

Hi Friends!
I just wanted to post an apology for not keeping up on everyone's blogs. (or mine either!)
My computer has stopped working all together and i can only get online when nice people offer to let me use theirs.
We are doing ok though, getting ready for Christmas and the New Year.
My mom will be here Saturday morning and i cant wait.
the weather here has been awful but we are hoping it will warm up and we can shop till we drop when she gets here.
I don't know when I'll be online again so i want to wish everyone a holly jolly Christmas and a happy New Year.
