Happy Birthday Ian!

Today my wonderful, loving, fun and HANDSOME hubs turns 25.
We're celebrating today by having a "Thanksgiving" dinner with all of our friends because we'll be spending our actual holidays apart this year.
Ian's spending his birthday morning cooking turkeys and rolls and gravy.
It just goes to show you what a good heart he has. And how much we really love our friends that have come to be like family to us.

Happy Turkey Day Friends!
And Happy Birthday Ian!
There is SO a birthday cheesecake with your name on it!

Our New Additions

So I think I love Ian way too much.
Ive come to this conclusion after he talked me into adding some new additions to our family.
Anybody who knows me knows that I'm not a huge fan of animals. Its not that I hate them, I just didn't have alot of them growing up (except hamsters, I made my mom buy me hamsters every year and claimed that I needed them for science projects, sneaky right?)
But we never really had alot of pets...just a few small caged rodents.
Well, anybody who know Ian, knows he's practically the animal whisperer. Cats, dogs, ferrets, all that.
Well he goes to Walmart yesterday and right outside theres a woman with a box that says "FREE KITTENS".
So he calls me and tells me about them, comes and picks me up and then not even 15 mins. later, we're pet owners.
haha. We got a little girl and a little boy. they're names are Max & Ruby.
they're heart melters, I didn't stand a chance.

Now I'm on a constant dose of benedryl (because of course I'm allergic) But they are just so stinkin' cute, and we love them.

I think you'll think so too....

Support Our Troops

Deployments aren't easy..for anyone involved. Its going to be really hard for me to give up my husband to Iraq for 4 months. Its going to be really really hard for my kids to understand why daddy has to be gone for so long and that they can only talk on the phone. But what I find the absolute HARDEST is how to deal with those people that are totally against what my family is sacrificing for those 4-5 difficult months.
Today when I picked up Brodi from school I thought it would be fun to swing by sonic on the way home and get some drinks for everyone. While we were going through the front gate, We seen a group of protesters that call themselves "God hates Fags" (classy right?) Their posters read the most awful things about our troops, and while we're preparing for a deployment right now...it really hit home and made me upset.
It sucks that Ian is going over there for four months just to defend the rights that those people abuse in such a negative way. I made sure to tell Ian how proud of him I really am, and how much I really do support what hes doing, even though its hard for us.

So anyway..besides that fun part of the day, I went to school and learned how to roll perms. Super fun, haha. They definitely aren't easy though and we'll be on them for the next six weeks. I also decided to take a leave of absence from school for awhile until Ians deployment money starts coming in so we can afford daycare. probably mid-Nov. But I think I could really use the break anyway. Its been a stressful month, and I cant wait to send more time with the kids.
Anyway! Hope everyone is doing well...Love you all.

Happy September everyone!

4 days until the official first day of Autumn and I cant wait.
especially for cute sweaters.
I haven't posted anything since July so there's so much to catch up on.
First, We found out a couple weeks ago that Ian is deploying again to Balad no later than the 15th of Oct. so we are stressing about that and trying to get everything in order before he goes. Its always so tense and worrisome right before a deployment and the feeling in the house isn't the happiest one. We are trying really hard to push through that though and enjoy the time we have together as much as possible.

If that wasn't enough, some our very best friends here in AR just got orders to Spangdahlem, Germany. The orders were really unexpected (especially since shes having a baby girl in Nov.) and we were both taken by surprise. They are leaving about the same time Ian deploys so it will be a really hard October for us.

It really is just typical military life, and I knew what I was signing up for when Ian and I got married, but it still doesn't change the fact that this just plain stinks! :o(

Oh well though, What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger...right?
So I'm gonna pretty tough after this next month.

Hope everyone is doing well, We love you all!
